FLARE: Faithful Logic-Aided Reasoning and Exploration

Complex reasoning tasks often fail because the model can generate plausible but incorrect steps. FLARE tackles this by pairing a language model with logic programming and a simulated exploration loop so each step is checked against rules, not just intuition.
The workflow is deliberate: an LLM proposes a plan, logic programs constrain it, and simulated exploration checks the consequences before committing to an answer. This combination increases faithfulness and reduces reasoning drift on challenging benchmarks.
The reported results show strong performance on multiple reasoning datasets, suggesting that hybrid reasoning stacks can be both accurate and verifiable without sacrificing flexibility.
